When you get the “Not enough disk space” or “Low disk space” error, this means that your computer is running out of hard drive space and whatever you are doing requires more space than you have available. You may have too many large files on your computer and too much software installed. However, on Windows computers this error can also be caused by a virus that eats up disk space.

How to Repair the “Not enough disk space” Error

To fix this error, the first thing you need to do is make sure that it’s not caused by a virus. If it is, then you’ll need to delete the virus first and then try to recover your disk space.

To find and delete the virus, you’ll need to scan your PC with an up-to-date antivirus program to find the malware. Most modern antiviruses won’t have a problem finding the virus. If you are not sure which anti-malware software to use, try the free version of Malwarebytes – it’s very efficient.

After you remove the virus, don’t forget to scan your PC with registry cleanup software. Doing that will make sure all traces of the virus are deleted and the problem won’t come back.
