Everybody uses PDFs because they are great for so many things, from forms to eBooks and user manuals. The only problem is that they are not very easy to edit if you don’t have expensive Adobe software. If you work with PDF files all the time and need to have all the necessary PDF editing tools, then it might make sense to purchase the software from Adobe. But what if all you need to do is occasionally fill in a PDF form or add your signature to a PDF file? Luckily, there is a way for you to edit PDF files without having to pay a cent – PDFescape.com.
PDFescape is a free online service that allows you to perform some basic PDF edits. You can:
- edit PDFs
- create and fill PDF forms
- annotate PDF documents
- share PDF files
- view PDFs online and print them out
Using the website is very easy. You can start working on your PDF right away without registering – simply upload the PDF file you want to edit and use the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. There are tools that allow you to ad text, highlight excerpts of the document, add form fields and various symbols (like ticks and crosses). If you want to point to some information, you can add the arrow symbol. And if you want to delete some text, you can use the whiteout tool. In addition to that, you can insert images to the PDF document.
When you are done with your edit, you can either save and download the PDF or print it out straight away. And if you register for a free account, you will be able to save your documents on the server for later reference.
As you can see, PDFescape is a very handy tool. Best of all, it’s free.
